Inspired by one of the oldest images of a tui. The tui is a nectar loving bird, famous for its melodious song and irridescent plumage. In 1770 Captain Cook and Joseph Banks marvelled at their "melodious wild musik." The interior features a lush forest in New Zealand, much like those near our studio in the Waitakere Ranges on the west coast of Auckland.
